Cast Iron Systems Appoints Annamaria Chen as General Counsel

Former WalMart.com legal expert joins Cast Iron team

Mountain View, CA, June 12, 2006 —Cast Iron Systems, the fastest growing integration-appliance vendor, announced today the appointment of Annamaria Chen to the position of General Counsel. Educated at Harvard, Chen brings to Cast Iron significant legal expertise combined with real-world experience from companies such as Walmart.com, Raza Foundries and Cooley Godward LLP.

Before joining Cast Iron, Chen served as senior director and associate general counsel at Walmart.com, where she was the lead attorney responsible for all legal and compliance matters for the online division of the Wal-Mart Stores. While at Walmart.com, she successfully built the legal team and implemented legal strategies in support of the company's business initiatives.

Previously, Chen served as associate general counsel at Raza Foundries, a private incubator and venture firm. She joined Raza after serving as a corporate and securities attorney at Cooley Godward LLP, where she represented a variety of technology companies and venture-capital funds focused on emerging growth companies.
