Cast Iron Announces Next-Generation iA4000 Series of Software-as-a-Service Integration Solutions

Cast Iron extends SaaS integration leadership with new capabilities that simplify integration and accelerate SaaS adoption across industries

Mountain View, CA, July 22, 2008Cast Iron Systems, the #1 SaaS integration provider, today announces the Cast Iron i4000 series, a major development in the company's 'configuration, not coding' approach to integration. Designed with input from hundreds of customers and partners, the Cast Iron iA4000 series, whether on-premise or hosted in the cloud, significantly expands the capabilities of Cast Iron's market-leading SaaS integration solution. With the iA4000 series, Cast Iron now provides everything customers need to expedite the integration of on-demand to on-demand and on-premise applications. Cast Iron's new data migration capabilities include data conversion and profiling tools to accelerate SaaS adoption and use, its extensive library of pre-configured integration templates enable out-of-the-box synchronization of one-to-one and many-to-many application endpoints, and an advanced process flow designer helps users map out, execute, track, and document business process and data flows.

"Cast Iron is a mission-critical component of the Gearworks appmosphere™ platform that lets companies integrate their back-office applications with mobile devices on all major US carrier networks," states Rob Juncker, CTO and co-founder of Gearworks, a leading provider of location-based mobile business applications. "The iA4000 simplifies and speeds integration so we can scale our services to meet the demand for complex integrations in days rather than months."

The Cast Iron iA4000 series offers a host of productivity enhancements and major new capabilities:

  • Powerful data migration with built-in data conversion and profiling tools. Now customers can easily use the Cast Iron solution for all of their data migration needs, such as removing duplicates and rapid data cleansing, for example, to greatly accelerate SaaS adoption and use.
  • An online library of pre-configured components called Template Integration Processes (TIPs) for solving common integration problems. These templates help customers who are integrating on-demand solutions to solve their problems right out-of-the-box. Where company-specific configuration is needed, self-guided configuration wizards customize the TIPs to address customers’ specific needs and expedite SaaS adoption.
  • The only Process Flow Designer that allows users to visualize business processes, the flow of information, and the movement of data on screen in a way that intuitively makes sense. Its unique user interface maps data flows to actual business processes so clearly that documentation is unnecessary, and creating integration workflows between on-demand and on-premise applications is a breeze - a big boost for productivity.

"The introduction of the iA4000 series extends Cast Iron's commanding lead in the SaaS integration market," said Ken Comée, president and CEO of Cast Iron Systems. "In developing the new iA4000 series, we've worked closely with hundreds of our customers and the top on-demand application vendors in the industry to produce a solution that takes on-premise and in the cloud integration to an entirely new level of speed and simplicity."
